Let your pet inspect the brush first, with the mist switched off. Begin with a few short strokes in the direction of the coat. The rounded pins are designed to move comfortably through the coat without the harsh feel of a traditional slicker brush. Pause if your pet shows discomfort and build the grooming time up gradually.

The mist is cool, not heated. It releases a fine spray of water that settles static and flyaway hair while you brush, which makes loose fur easier to collect and keeps it from drifting around the room. The 35ml tank refills from the top and uses ordinary clean water.

After grooming, press the release control to move the pin bed forward. This helps lift the collected fur away from the pins so it can be removed and discarded more easily.

FurGlide charges over USB and should be charged fully before first use. Fill the tank with clean water before grooming. Filtered or distilled water is worth using if you live in a hard water area, as it helps prevent mineral build-up over time.

Three things. The pins are rounded rather than sharp, so the brush moves through the coat without the scratchy feel pets tend to dislike. The mist settles static, which means less fur floating around while you groom. And the release control clears the pin bed in one press, instead of picking matted hair out of the pins by hand.

FurGlide is designed for routine grooming on cats and dogs. Begin gently, test a small area first, and work through heavy tangles with an appropriate detangling tool before brushing.

Press the release button, discard the fur, then empty any water left in the tank. Wipe the brush head with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge the brush or hold it under a running tap.
